We eat social media for breakfast

What the essays main arguement is claiming is that we use the internet just like how we use paper and how it's the next evolutionary step. It's not just a tool it's much more than that it's how we stay in touch with each other. The internet has changed the way this generation and the past generation did simple things like taking pictures.

The internet is probably the most important adaptation of our time. We use it for research, staying in touch with people, and anything else you want. It's the tool that nowadays we don't use it to our advantage. We have the power to look up anything and learn it online or to find out things within a couple seconds of a google search. The tone of the author is basically trying to tell us that we have a powerful tool that we can use anytime. We have all these social media apps that we use to communicate and talk from a long distance.

Simple things like taking a picture in the past took multiple steps and nowadays you can take a picture just by sliding up on a phone. In the past you'd have to go to the library and do research in books and have to spend hours but today you'd have to google something and get endless results within a second. The diction the author uses is that the internet is an amazing tool that's not properly used and how you can share with others and create new things. The syntax of the author you with the internet can now do whatever you want, there's no limits and you can do much more now than you could in the past.
