1) it's a pretty dark futuristic messed up society where firemen start fires instead of putting it out. It's similar because no really reads novels today compared to the huge percentage that's brainwashed by tv. Also they burn books to conceal the truth from the other people. Short story

So we have a story of a young boy named Kevin who is new to a school in California and he just came from Minnesota. He shows up to his first day confused and lost because he's the new kid at school. So basically he's eating lunch by himself in the cafeteria. He realizes that he doesn't fit with any of the groups of kids at school so he tries fitting in by being someone he's not.so he tries fitting in  with all the kids who are into sports but that didn't work out. So next he tried being with all the skater kids but that failed too because he didn't even know how to use a skateboard. After he continued looking for a group trying to fit in with. As the days passed he gave up and then realized that there is others  like him trying to fit in and then he didn't have to look at all. So he made a new group of friends who were like him and they live happily ever after.  It relates to modernism by being confused and different compared to everyone else.

What I see in literature

-The yellow fog that rubs its back upon the window panes.               -And I have seen the eternal Footman hold my coat, and snicker -I should have been a pair of ragged claws Scuttling across the floors of silent seas This explains the theme of the of prufrock by explains how his desire for women and never achieving the goal of never getting a girl. He talks about the yellow fog rubbing its back on the yellow window panes and always surrounding him. Then seeing the eternal footman holding his coat which represents death shows how he feels about himself. There's also another one where he says he measures his life in coffee spoons which represents the theme of his failure of finding a women interested in him so it's sad how he can measure it in coffee spoons. The story is called a love song but in reality it's the opposite, it's a dark sad story of a guy who's actually lonely.

Prufrock

My first impression is that this really isn't a love story and if it is, it's a twisted one. I find it interesting how this guy who's aging beats himself up for never being good enough. He talks about how he can imagine the girls but he never imagine them being attracted to him. The fact that he can measure his life in coffee spoons describes what kind of person he is. As we continue reading we find out that death is just waiting and snickering on this miserable soul. At the end he's misunderstood because he pours out his feelings to this girl and the girl misunderstood him and she's like" no That's not what I meant at all". That must've made him feel broken and he just can't take it anymore.
